Mrs. Rebecca Frazier Jenkins transitioned from this life on December 26, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on February 7, 1954 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Athanette F. Keaton and Hugh D. Keaton. She completed her early education at West Forsyth High School and later graduated from Winsalem Business College. After several years of employment, she retired from Winston-Salem State University.

Those that preceded her in death are her mother, Athanette F. Keaton; mother-in-law, Florence M. Jenkins; sister, Debra G. Frazier; and brother-in-law, Pastor Steven W. Dalton.

At an early age, she became a member of Hickory Grove AME Zion Church, Pastor Robert Bailey, Clemmons, NC where she was an avid usher and sang on the choir. Her favorite song to lead and sing was, "At the Gate I Know."

Later in life, she became a member of Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Melvin L. Frazier. Lastly, Rebecca joined Word of Life Church, under the leadership of Pastor Cedric T. Henry, where she faithfully served on the Usher Board Society.

Out of all her years of service in church, what she loved the most was the Word of God. What she desired the most was for her whole family to be saved: Acts 16:31 – "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."

She spent a lot of devotional time reading her Bible and enjoying her children and grandchildren. She had five life-long friendships with her cousins, Adrian Frazier and Janet Lockheart, Charlene Guest, Kathy McGriff, and Charlotte James.

If it's anything we all can attest to, Becky also LOVED keeping an immaculately clean house!

Rebecca leaves to cherish a loving and devoted husband, Herman Lee Jenkins; five children, Carlos D. (Tracy) Frazier of Charlotte, NC, Andria E. Frazier of Winston-Salem, NC, Benita (June) Springer, Christina (Delontay) Jenkins, and Colleen Jenkins all of Maryland; grandchildren, MiKiyah Frazier, Ayzha Frazier, Ulyssa Robertson, Jerrell Robertson, Calandis Patterson, Willie Wright, Javon Giddings, and Ashlee Hartley; great-grandchild, Jacobi Robertson; Goddaughter, Alexandria Johnson; father, Hugh D. Keaton; siblings, Pastor Melvin L. (Co-Pastor Victoria) Frazier of Kernersville, NC, Aaron T. Frazier of Atlanta, GA, Pastor Mellonie K. Tucker of Asheboro, NC, and Pastor Edna K. Dalton of Advance, NC; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services Thursday, December 31, 2020. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory, Clemmons, NC.
