Our beloved Mr. Raphael L. Wright, also known as "Ralph", "Buck", and "Smiley", went to be with the Lord unexpectedly. He was a graduate of Glenn High School class of 2005. He attended North Carolina A&T State University and Forsyth Technical Community College. He was a faithful employee of Wal-Mart. He was the fifth child born to Marion Jerome Wright and Mary Bryan Wright. Raphael was baptized at St. Phillips Apostolic Holiness Church at an early age and he was a member of Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Jerome Wright; his maternal grandfather, Lewis Bryan; and his paternal grandparents, Leroy and Janie Wright. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Mary Bryan Wright, of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Antwon Bryan of Winston-Salem and Marion Wright, Jr., of Hampton, GA; three sisters, Kim Bryan and Quilla Bryan, of Winston-Salem, and Keziah Wright, of Savannah, GA; one niece, Aysia Hunter; two nephews, Kevin Hunter and Marion Wright, III; grandmother, Melven Bryan; great- grandmother, Lena "GG" Fields, of Savannah, GA; seven uncles, Dewitt Raleigh, John Bryan, Herman Bryan, Donald (Mia) Bryan, and Timothy Wilson, all of Winston-Salem, Dr. Leroy (Bettie) Wright, Jr., of Atlanta, GA, and Minister Allen Wright, of Savannah, GA; four aunts, Darlene (Joseph) Ansley, of Greensboro, NC, Evelyn (Curley) Green, and Naomi (Siscro) Reed, of Savannah, GA, and Pastor Sara Wright, of Atlanta GA; devoted friends, Evangelist Rosemary Gist, Tammy Gore, Kacina Meadows, Cassandra Fair; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 26, from Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church with Bishop Sheldon McCarter officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Church.
