Ralph Eugene Taylor, Jr. was born on March 25, 1950 to the late Ralph Eugene Taylor and Geraldine Taylor Shepherd in Winston-Salem, NC.  He departed this life on November 2, 2018.

He was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and joined the United States Army where he quickly gained the rank of Sergeant.  He was honorably discharged after becoming disabled.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Marilyn Taylor Thomas of Winston-Salem, NC; his longtime companion, Yolanda Holley of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Chapel.  Interment will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
