Mr. Quentin Houston Venable went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC. He was born May 5, 1945 in Forsyth County, NC to Joseph and Catherine Venable.

He graduated from Anderson High School Class of 1964, was a veteran of the United States Army, and was later employed by RJ Reynolds for 35 years before his retirement.
Quentin loved his family and also loved to ride his Harley he brought for retirement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rayvon Venable.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories a loving wife, Gloria Venable; five daughters, Angela, Tonya, Tammy, Joyce, and Crystal Venable; three sons, Anthony and Ken Venable, and Omar Bitting; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Constance L. Pearson; two brothers, Rev. Joseph (Nancy) Venable, Jr. and Ronald Venable; two devoted sisters-in-law, Juanita Williams and Marion Venable; devoted friend, Michael Scarborough; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday, May 24, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Joseph Venable, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Friday at the Church.
