Mr. Quentin L. Holly, 29, better known as "Pooh", of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He attended Reynolds High School and graduated from Forsyth Technical Community College. He also attended Culinary School in Charlotte, NC.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas A. Holly, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Cornelia A. White; his father, Charles Dwight Springs; one brother, Joshua J. Carter; his very special grandmother, Lillie M. Holly; five uncles; Farndrill (Gwyndolen) Holly, Thomas (Willie) Holly, Jr., Timothy (Priscilla) Holly and Anthony Holly all of Winston-Salem, NC and Carlton Holly of Delaware; two nieces, Shaliya Williams of Winston-Salem, NC and Joshlyn of High Point, NC; one nephew, Lil Jay of Winston-Salem, NC; a very special friend, Kimberly Rockette; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, July 16, 2007 at Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
