Ms. Priscilla Elaine Scales was a native, very devoted, very well loved and respected resident of Winston-Salem, NC her entire life. She departed this life October 12, 2019 at Bermuda Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center located in Advance, NC following a long period of illness.

Priscilla was born December 24, 1948 to Willie Lee Scales and Ada B. Scales. Priscilla attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public School System where she performed well and graduated from Atkins High School in 1968. After graduation from High School, Priscilla continued her education at the Winston-Salem Business College.

Her first job was working at Amos Cottage, working with children that had physical and mental disabilities. Priscilla worked on that job for well over 12 years. She worked at Winston-Salem State University for a short period of time. Priscilla's last and final job was at Little People's University where she was employed for over 25 – 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lou Ella Mitchell; her father, Willie Lee Scales; her great aunt, Alice Ledbetter; her sister, Barbara Ann Scales; and her nephew, Antonio Scales.

She leaves to cherish loving memories her mother Ada B. Scales; her daughter, Latangela Scales Williams (Tony); her son, Michael Scales; her grandson, Jalen Williams; her sister, Willette Scales; one uncle, Arthur Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that she loved very dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Monday, October 21, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Pastor Renae Dunlap Miller officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Monday at the Church. Burial will be private.
