Mrs. Phyllis Neely Walters departed this life on Friday, June 28, 2013. She was born to the late Ruth Johnson Neely and Fred Neely, Sr. on May 26, 1951 in W-S, NC.

She graduated from Anderson High School class of 1969.
She retired from AT&T in 1988.
Phyllis was a devoted trustee at Macedonia Worship Center and was a member of American Legion Post 453 Auxiliary Club.

Mrs. Walters loved to travel, shop, and attend WSSU games, and most of all she loved the Lord and her church family.

She leaves to cherish beautiful and precious memories, her loving husband of 43 years Charles E. Walters, Sr.; sons, Charles (Chirell) Walters, Jr., of W-S, NC and Antoine Walters of the home; one daughter, Monica Smith of W-S, NC; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; three brothers, Fred Neely, Jr., Rev. Terry Garner, and Emmanuel Thomas all of W-S, NC; one sister, Elizabeth Miller of Brooklyn, NY; one aunt, Elizabeth Evans; one uncle; Richard Johnson; devoted mother-in-law, Lillie M. Walters; three special sisters-in-law, Gail (Larry) Wilson of Walkertown, NC, Jennifer (Leon) Evans, and Ellafaye Boston both of W-S, NC; five brothers-in-law, Cinque Robert Walters of Greensboro, NC, Ernest Walters, Emmanuel (Pegi) Walters both of W-S, NC, Malik Sharif of Brooklyn, NY, and Bobby (Faye) Shepard of W-S, NC; special cousins, Beatrice (Wilton) Garrison and Helen (Archie) Covington; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, July 5, 2013 at Macedonia Worship Center. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.
