Phyllis Delores Roberts Collins, 67, of Winston-Salem, NC went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born June 27, 1950 to her parents, Leroy and Sarah Roberts. She attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and was a graduate of Forsyth Technical Community College with an Associate's Degree in Business. Phyllis was employed at Wake Forest Baptist Health as a Visitor Parking Attendant for over 25 years. Throughout her career she was twice named employee of the month, was known for her beautiful smile, and greeted celebrities such as Tim Duncan of Wake Forest University and Jerry Richardson of the Carolina Panthers.

Phyllis was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Warren L. Roberts and Timothy T. Roberts.

She leaves to cherish precious and beautiful memories her loving husband, Roosevelt Collins; her devoted children, Bishop Charles E. Gwynn, Jr., Pamela Collins, Roosevelt Collins, Jr., Monica R. (Joseph) Thompkins, and Jamall M. (Thomas) Grice; beloved grandchildren, Mariah S. Thompkins, Amanda D. L. Wright, Miranda S. Thompkins, Justin Henderson, and Corey Collins; precious great grandchildren, Tristan Thompkins, Trey Mayes, and Aubrey Wright; siblings, Veronica Rousseau, Vickie Roberts, Cheryl Roberts, and Melinda (Clyde) Williams, all of Winston-Salem, NC; a special nephew, Delvin Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Cashin Hunt and staff, Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, and her son, Bishop Charles E. Gwynn, Jr. for the care provided to our mom.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 4129 Northampton Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:00noon on Tuesday at the Church.
