Obituary
Mr. Phillip O. Owens, Jr. was born on June 10, 1984 the second child of Phillip and Deborah Owens. His life came to an unexpected end on Saturday, December 22, 2007.
A lifetime resident of Winston-Salem, NC, Phillip attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public schools and Forsyth Technical Community College.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Jean Owens; maternal grandparents, James and Mae Green; an uncle, Linwood Green; and an aunt, Janet Owens.
He leaves to cherish his memories in addition to his parents, his daughter, Lucia Grace Woodruff; his companion, Kelli Woodruff and son, Logan; one sister, Raina Owens (Rashaan) Brown and nieces, Malia, Noelani, and Alena all of Sicklerville, NJ; paternal grandfather, Olin Owens; uncles, Stephen Owens of Sliver Springs, MD, and James Green of Reading, PA; aunts, Gloria Owens of Winston-Salem, NC and Marie Green of Colorado Springs, CO; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm Saturday, December 29, 2007 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Harriet Adams, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Lucia Grace Woodruff at Allegacy Federal Credit Union, 700 Highland Oaks Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
