Perry Wyman Rowdy was born March 12, 1960 to Reverend Norman and Mrs. Marjorie Rowdy. He passed away September 8, 2014.
Perry was a 1979 graduate of Parkland High School, was previously employed by Styrex Plastic of High Point, NC, and was presently employed by FedEx Incorporated for 23 years.
In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. James D. Rowdy, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marcie H. Rowdy; two daughters, Latoya Longmire and Porsche Rowdy of W-S, NC; one son, Perry Xavier Rowdy of Charlotte, NC; the family pet, Justin Rowdy; his siblings, Ethel R. Livingston, Cardell Riwdy, Mary R. Griffin, and Norman J. Rowdy (Karen) all of W-S, NC and Patricia Ijames (Howard) of Lexington, NC; a special niece, Artissa Rowdy; several special nephews, Kendrick Mitchell, Leroy Groom, Jr., Cory Rowdy, Melvin Rowdy, Daryl Rowdy, and Rev. James D. Rowdy, Jr.; four great-nieces and nephews whom he loved unconditionally, Patricya Livingston, Amiyah Mitchell, Kameron and Brandon Cornell; mother-in-law, Theresa Parson (Kenneth) of Long Island, NY; father-in-law, Abe Lattimore of Shelby, NC; sister-in-law, Starla Bell (Rodney) of Manassas, VA; special cousins, Ricky, Cedric, and Mary Walton of High Point, NC; special high schools friends, Wayne Fries and Doug McLane; co-workers that became dedicated and devoted friends, Patricia Johnson, Russell London, and Russell Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 3010 Carver School Road W-S, NC 27105 with Reverend Waymon Monroe officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
