Perlicer Vann Johnson, aged 68, also known as "PC" passed away on September 29, 2023 in Winston Salem, NC. He was born on February 27, 1955 in Winston Salem, North Carolina to Perlicer Johnson Sr. and Betty Jean Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mary Johnson and Sandra Johnson Hood. Perlicer is survived by his brother-in-law, Everett Hood; his nephew, Jonathan Hood, and a host of cousins.
Perlicer "PC" was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools system. He spent 3 years at Kennedy Jr. High School where PC began playing basketball competitively.
As a sophomore at Atkins High School, PC was a star player on the Jr. Varsity basketball team that won the City/County Championship in 1971. During the summer of the same year, WSFCS decided to close the last "all Black" high school in the city.
Perlicer chose to attend West Forsyth Sr. High to continue his basketball career under the tutelage of Coach Robert Moore.

Tall in stature, big-hearted, considerate, loyal, supportive and caring are all characteristics our good friend Perlicer "PC" Johnson possessed. Our hearts are saddened and we will miss you dear friend but one day, we will see you again.
