Mrs. Peggy Ann Webster Floyd, 77, was born August 26, 1937 to Decarster H. and Murphy Joyce Webster. She departed her earthly home on Sunday May 17, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
Peggy graduated from St. Anne Academy, attended Winston-Salem Teacher College (WSSU) and was a retiree of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company after 30 years of service. She was a longtime member of St. Benedict The Moor Catholic Church where she served untiringly on many committees. Peggy and her husband, Jeter Floyd owned and operated many businesses including the Kopper Kitchen of W-S, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings and her husband, Jeter Floyd.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Latonya Floyd, Jeketer (Henretta) Floyd, and Milgo (Haley Steele) Floyd; grandchildren, Denisha Floyd, Kendra (Travis) Kelly, Maceo Floyd, Brandon Campbell, Joy & Jeremy Parsons, Malik Rice Mills, and Chantae McFadden; great-grandchildren, Nora Kelly and Skyy Covington; brothers, Jarvis (Josephine) Webster and James Murphy (Dr. Sadie B.) Webster; also to honor her spirit are many nephews, nieces, cousins, other loved ones and many dear friends.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00am Friday, May 22, 2015 at Saint Benedict the Moor Catholic Church with Father Anthony R. Forte presiding. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 9:30am until 10:00am on Friday at the Church.
