Pearline Baynes McCall of Winston-Salem, NC was blessed to ascend to Heaven to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 4, 2007. She was born on July 18, 1940 to Reverend George James McCall and Pearl Baynes McCall Clinard.
Pearline was a member of Greater Grace Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member of the Deaconess Board and Usher Board. She also actively called members of the church and community during their good times, illnesses, and bereavement. She was employed by Unique Furniture and Wake Forest University.
Pearline was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Maxine McCall Newell; two brothers, James and Spencer McCall; one granddaughter, Mackynze Taylor Hill; and her step father, Felix Clinard.
Pearline will be greatly missed by her daughters as she was a loving mother that provided them with Christian morals, values, and the importance of good work ethics.
Cherishing her wonderful memories now and always are her six daughters, Pamela (William) Misenheimer of Stone Mountain, GA, Arnita (Percy, Jr.) Careathers, Marchelle (Samuel) Scott, Finita (Dennis) Peppers, and Mona McCall all of Winston-Salem, NC and Monica (Prince) Matey of Washington, DC; her sisters who will fondly remember her, Nelsie Wright, Shirley (George) Fennell, and Brenda McCall; her step sister, Theola East; her sister-in-law, Sandra D. McCall; a brother-in-law, Ralph L. Newell, Sr.; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her devoted companion, Jack Howie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the St. Johns CME Church with Reverend Joseph B. Parks officiating. Internment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of Pearline B. McCall at 1343 Holly Court, Winston-Salem, NC.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing.
