Pearlie Mae Bartley-Scott departed to her heavenly home on August 12, 2013.

Anyone she encountered was always welcomed with her kindness and generosity.

Pearlie was born December 10, 1934 in Columbia, SC to Georgia Mae Bartley Osby, who preceded her in death.

She was educated in the Richland County school districts.

Pearlie then furthered her education in NC at the LaMae School of Cosmetology. She worked in cosmetology and dedicated years of service with Food Fair Inc. and Forsyth Memorial Hospital.

Pearlie's caring nature and passion for people inspired her career in phlebotomy, where she gave service to Whittier Medical Center Hospital and Whittier Presbyterian Hospital (CA).

Leaving to honor and cherish her memory are her children Anthony Bartley (Ruth) of SC, Anita Scott of NC, Pamela Eaton (Daryll, Sr.) of CA and Terry Scott of NC; grandchildren, Tony Belton, Malcolm, Michael, Makesha and Marcelus Bartley, Monica Osinowo (Bolanle'), Erica Scott, Daryll, Jr. and Joy Eaton; a host of great grandchildren including Oluwakemi and Christopher Osinowo; a loving cousin, Joe "Lee" Whaley of SC; and devoted best friend, Alma Penn of NC.

The family will receive friends and condolences during a service at 7pm, Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.

The family wishes to express thanks to Springwood Care Center for their loving care provided to Pearlie.
