Paulette "PJ" Robinson, 71, died April 1, 2016 after a period of illness at the KB Reynolds Hospice Home. She was the middle daughter of Edwin and DaZelle Jones.
Paulette graduated from Anderson High and UNCG, majoring in journalism. She began teaching in local schools; leaving to write for IBM; writing and producing for CNN; editing the Metro Herald Newspaper in Alexandria, VA; and developing her own business, PJ's Pen. She retired after moving back to Winston-Salem. Paulette made many friends during her journalism career. She was generous in helping others reach their goals in life. She had a special friend, Eloise Lipscomb, whom she called "First Lady."
PJ was preceded in death by her father; and her husband, Frank Robinson.
PJ is survived by her mother, DaZelle Jones; brother, Kenneth; sisters, DeOla (William Barfield) and Linda; adopted sister, Alfreta Jones; nephews, Kenneth Jones, II; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, April 8, 2016 at Zion Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 101 N. Dunleith Ave. W-S, NC. Burial will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the PJ Robinson Endowment Fund at Zion Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.
