Mrs. Paulette L. Burch, 66 passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 after an extended period of illness at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 3, 1942 to Paul and Elizabeth Little in Forsyth County. She graduated from Atkins High School and attended WSSU and Russell Business College. She was employed for 30 years by the City of Winton-Salem as a Loan Officer in Housing Services.
She was a lifetime member of the Pioneer Social Club.
She is survived by her husband, James P. Burch, Sr.; one daughter, Darlene (William) Capers; a son, James P. Burch, Jr. of the city; one step-son, James Pernell Woodruff; two grandchildren; her mother, Elizabeth Little; three sisters, Betty L. Witherspoon, Minnie L. Stephens, and Pamela L. Wynn; one brother, Bobby R. Little of the city; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12Noon Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Miller Allen. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12Noon on Saturday at the Church.
