Mr. Paulet R. Howard, Sr., 94, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away at Springwood Care Center during the morning hours on May 2, 2017.  He was born April 19, 1923 in Darlington, SC to the late Early and Patsy Berry Howard. However, from his early years until his death his home was Winston-Salem, NC. His education was obtained through Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WSFCS). He retired from the Winston-Salem Housing Authority as a Maintenance Supervisor. His skills extended far beyond his employment; being a master craftsman in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and electrician.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret D. Howard; six brothers, William Howard, Earl Howard, Edward Howard, McFadden Howard, Johnny Howard and Samuel Howard; six sisters, Eva Mae Howard, Oree Pearson, Shellie Rivers, Mary Kaye, Lurenia Howard Bristow and Nancy Stover; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories three sons, Raymond Howard, Sr. of McAllen, TX, Paulet (Kathy) Howard, Jr. of Bolingbrook, IL, and Anthony (Shanniska) Howard of Charlotte, NC; four daughters, Gloria Lewis and Carolyn (Denby) Marcus both of Winston-Salem, NC, Rhonda Miller of Charlotte, NC, and Deborah Howard, of Sumter, SC; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harold Reid, Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 12noon Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Ephesus SDA Church,1225 N. Cleveland Ave., Winston-Salem, NC with Pastor Goodwin R. Mitchell, Jr., officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Church.
