We come together today to celebrate the life of Patrick Lenard Dobson, 49, of Greensboro, NC. He was born to Ruth Dobson and Bernard (Donna) Dobson of W-S, NC on September 1, 1964. Patrick departed this earthly life on June 16, 2014. He was a graduate of North Forsyth High Senior High School Class of 1983, attended East Carolina University, and was a graduate of ECPI. He once served as an active member of the United States Navy where he received The National Defense Service medal, in addition to several other metals. Patrick was employed at Servantage Dixie Sales.
He was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, and friend.
Patrick was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Gibson; great-grandmother, Bernice Mayberry; paternal grandparents, Wiseman and Bertha Dobson; and his devoted mother-in-law, Betty Mack Larkin.
In addition to his parents, Patrick leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 25 years, Linda Larkin Dobson; two children, Jujuan Lenard Dobson and Breanna Lakayla Dobson; brother, Bernard C. Dobson; devoted father-in-law, Willie E. Larkin; brothers-in-law, Irvin Mack and Donnell (Beverly) McDaniel; sister-in-law, Willie Mae Blakes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Edward Greene officiating. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Tuesday at the Chapel.
