Mrs. Patricia Ann Prince Harvey Lipscomb of 3827 Crosland Road formerly of Alder's Pointe Apartments, went home to glory on Friday, November 6, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center's Palliative Care Unit after a courageous battle with diabetes.
Mrs. Lipscomb was born September 23, 1940 in Forsyth County. She was the daughter of Lenora Shoffner Prince Crosby and Reverend Julius B. Price. She worked numerous years at Western Electric/AT & T and retired from Salem Health Services, Inc.
She was a member of Word of Faith Love Fellowship Deliverance Ministry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Julia J. Shoffner; brothers, Earl and Robert Prince; a niece, Melinda Prince; and cousins, Margie "Flayvella" and Robert Brown.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence M. Lipscomb; her devoted children, Robin W. Samuels and Tonya Harvey of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Alisha Samuels, J-Mee Samuels, Jania Harvey and Justin Harvey; 5 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Tammy Smith; 4 step-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ophelia Falls of Sanford, FL and Madgerine Milborne of Alexandria, VA; two brothers, Julius Prince of Washington, DC and Lee Prince of Temple Hills, MD; her only aunt, Audrianna "Neat" Dansby of Pittsburgh, PA; a step-mother, Ann Price of Clinton, MD; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, November 13, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Robert Minor officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1pm on Friday at the funeral home.
