Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Ann LaFoucade, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy E. Murphy and the late Johnny F. Murphy, was born July 31, 1954 in LaRochell, France. She departed this life, Monday December 15, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Pat graduated from Burgaw High School and later relocated to New York City, where she met her husband of thirty-nine years, Rudven LaFoucade. Together, they raised a family of five children. In 1995, the family relocated to Winston Salem, NC, where she worked for the United States Postal Service for twenty-seven years and retired as a Postal Supervisor.
Pat accepted JESUS Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She became a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church, November 12, 1995.
Pat was a very outspoken person, who never met a stranger. She also loved to spend quality time with family and friends. Pat touched many lives and will be remembered always.
Cherished survivors of Pat are her mother, Dorothy E. Murphy of Burgaw, NC; her husband, Rudven LaFoucade of W-S, NC; two daughters, Andrea Peoples and Lisa LaFoucade both of W-S, NC; three sons, Lamont LaFoucade of Burgaw, NC, Ragene (Caprina) LaFoucade and Rudvin (LeAndrea) LaFoucade, Jr. both of W-S, NC; twelve grandchildren, Alkeemia Parker, Takera Jones LaFoucade, Malik Fordham, D'Shaun LaFoucade, Ragene LaFoucade, Jr., Cherae Walker, Uriah Wright, Kalia LaFoucade, Urashia LaFoucade, Nila LaFoucade, Rudvon LaFoucade, and Lamani Lee; three sisters, Edwina Murphy-Harris of Woodbridge, VA, Anne Murphy and Yolanda Williams both of Newark, NJ; three brothers, Thurman Bannerman of Brooklyn, NY, Michael Walker and Johnny Murphy, Jr. both of Newark, NJ; special aunts and uncles, Irene Taylor, Hazel Wilson, Freeman Wilson, Jr. and Randolph Murphy; special cousins and friends, Ann Hayes, Linda Thorns, and Pamela Gladman; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, December 19, 2014 at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. James Linville officiating. Entombment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Friday at the Church.
