Ms. Patricia Ann Careathers, 75 of Winston Salem, transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Patricia passed peacefully from this life to join the Lord after a very brief illness. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life.  Patricia was born in Winston-Salem, NC, to Nehemiah and Hattie Patton on October 27, 1942.

She was predeceased by her husband, Percy Careathers Sr., her two brothers, Edward Allen Patton and Leon Navarro Patton, and her older sister Mae Frances King. She is survived by her five children, Renee Rousseau (Nathaniel), Percy Careathers Jr. (Anita), Rodney Careathers, Serena Aikens (Dwight), and Shanda Green (Reginald). In addition, she leaves her nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her siblings Jacqueline Douthit and Wilbert Patton (Jung), many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3:30pm Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel, 822 Carl Russell Avenue W-S, NC 27101.  The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until 3:30pm on Saturday at the Chapel.

The family will receive visitation at the home of Dwight & Serena Aikens in Clemmons, NC.
