Constance Patricia Lowery Bowman daughter of Ralph W.E. and Thelma Mae Miller Lowery and the wife of William Monroe Bowman was born January 18, 1939 and departed from us on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 3:30 pm.
Pat "Connie" graduate from Carver High School in May of 1957 and attended Bennett College where she majored in English and later married her high school sweetheart. From this marriage came three children, Dalnice Michelle Bowman, Tanya Yvette Bowman, and William Monroe Bowman Jr.
Pat gained employment with Western Electric (AT&T) where she served for 27 years. After retirement from AT&T, she was employed part-time, for a short period, with Salem Technologies and then with The Dress Barn. She liked to stay busy and filled her time with helping with her grandchildren.
Pat became a member of Middlefork Christian Church at a very young age. She attended Sunday school, sang in the choir, served on the Usher Board, and served in the Youth organization (CYF), all in preparation for living her life as a Christian woman, wife, mother, and friend. In later years, she served in the Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF) always serving where she was asked or assigned.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Ralph W.E. and Thelma Mae Miller Lowery; her husband, William Monroe; and a daughter, Tanya Yvette Bowman.
Pat leaves behind to carry on her exemplary personality and beliefs her two remaining children, Mimi and Billy Bowman; two grandchildren, Emerald Patricia Bowman and William Monroe Bowman III; one sister, Jacqueline Lowery Belton (Eugene); two nieces, Tracy Lowery Glover (Devon) and Serena Suzette Belton; three nephews, Darryl E. Belton (Nichelle), Cory L. Belton, and Eugene Belton III; one grandniece, Chloe C. Belton; one grandnephew, Brent E. Belton; a cousin, considered a daughter, Patricia Robinson and daughter Shanita Robinson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Pat's life will be held at 1 pm Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Middlefork Christian Church where the Pastor is the Rev. Timothy Hymes, with Associate Minister, the Rev. Biggers Hicks officiating.
