Obituary

The Lord has once again called upon another one of His angels. Pamela Cohen, affectionately known as "Pam", passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was a resident of Winston-Salem, NC. She graduated from West Forsyth High School and attended Winston-Salem State University. Pam was a very faithful and dedicated employee of Bojangles' for 29 years. She was also employed at KFC. Pam's first love was spending time with her grandkids, DeAndrea, Marshae', Kayla, Kamden, and Leah. She was our high-spirited, outgoing, traveling, and reading queen. She was also the best, "keep-it-real" outspoken person that everyone enjoyed and loved to be around.
Pam is survived by her husband, John Cohen; three wonderful kids, Andre' (Jenny) McManus,
Shantakiya (Matthew Simmons) Cohen, and Enoch (Janae' Brown) Cohen; step-daughter, Tanesha (David) Boston; step-mother, Cora Darby; sisters, Shanya (George) Massey, Tameka (Anthony) Gentry, Kimberly Frazier, Suevary (Joe) Crawford, and Annie (Neil) Crawford; two aunts, Peggy (Gene) Carpenter and Phyllis Little; one uncle, Daniel McManus, Sr.; a lifelong special friend, Tangila (Frankie) Tubbs; a special friend, Selena Johnson; three close friends, Juanita (Kevin) Rucker, Alma Bush, and Renaee' Bell; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and special customers from Bojangles'.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Bishop David T. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Saturday at the Church.
