Ola Celestine Morris, 76, gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, May 9, 2021. She was born on June 3, 1944 to the late Grace Mobley Hall and James Clyde Bess, Sr. She was a prominent business owner of Teen's Country Store, a successful real estate investor, and a retiree from RJ Reynolds Archer after 30 years of employment. Ola graduated from Atkins High School in 1961 and graduated from Winston Salem Business College.

Ola was a modern-day Mother Nature. She was an herbalist with a strong love for flowers, herbs, and plants. Ola was an expert with making supplements, teas, tinctures, and skin creams to promote healing.

Awaiting her arrival are her mother, Grace Mobley Hall; father, James Clyde (Dorothy) Bess, Sr.; Godmother, Lillian Harding; brothers, Robert Hall, Melrose (Diane) Bess, Willie Bess, and James "June" Bess, Jr.; her sister, Elaine Bess; daughters-in-law, Charlene Bess and Tonya Bess; and brothers-in-law, Lewis Mackins and Lawrence Wade.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Forsithia (Welton) Loftin; her sons, Timothy Bess, Lamont Bess, and Bernard Hall; grandchildren, Timothy Bess, Jr., Charmane Bess, Zechariah Loftin, Lamont Bess, Jr., and Zion Loftin; sisters, Gloria Jean Mackins, Mary (Hartwell) King, Edith Wade, Claudette Antwine, Hortense (William) Rice, and Loretta Adams; brothers, Tyrone Bess, Thurmond Bess, Vierl (Margaret) Banks, Kenneth (Karen) Bess, Herman Bess, and James Bess; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 2021.
