Obituary
Mr. Odell C. Isom, 88, was born October 30, 1923. He departed this life on Friday, May 11, 2012 after a brief period of illness.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary S. Isom; son, Joseph (Glendora) Payne; daughter, Shirley (Thurmond) Carter; sister, Julia I. Johnson; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; and a special friend and caregiver, Shawn Thomas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30pm Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at St. John CME Church, 350 NW Crawford Place, W-S, NC with Pastor Edward Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 12:30pm on Wednesday at the Church.
The family can be contacted at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Thurmond Carter.
