Mr. Odell Glenn, 62, was born in East Bend, NC on February 8, 1949 to Mayhue and Lonnia Glenn. He departed this life on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.
He was a graduate of Forbush High School in East Bend, NC. He was a veteran of the US Army and a retired Winston-Salem Firefighter.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman and never met a stranger. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC until his health failed.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Brown Glenn; three daughters, Jennifer, Beverly, and Pamela; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Julia (Willie) Gabriel of Pfafftown, NC; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Friendship Baptist Church with Reverend Stacey Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC. The family visitation will be held from 10am until 11am on Wednesday at the Church.
