Norman Richard Brunt was born to James Nebraska Cloud and Vivian Brunt on February 11, 1947. He departed this life on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.

He was a graduate of Atkins High School. He also served in the United States Air Force. He was self-employed and the owner/operator of Brunt Upholstery.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and six brothers, Edward Brunt, Marvin Brunt, James Cloud, Jr., Otis Cloud, Haywood Cloud and Melvin Brunt.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his loving, dedicated wife and caregiver, Doreen Brunt; children, Carolyn Michelle Dalton of Charlotte, NC, Mildred Brunt of Lincolnton, NC, Marsha Brunt of Lincolnton, NC, Clara "Denise" Brunt Wilson (Aubrey) of Dallas, TX, Norman Brunt, Jr. (Regina) of Huntersville, NC; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; five sisters, Amuzetta Griffin, Venessa Brunt, Jackie (Bruce) Carson, Brenda Cloud and Cynthia Cloud; six brothers, Larry (Sandra) Cloud, Gregory (Ethel) Cloud, Percy (Gizell) Cloud, Reginald Cloud, Roland Cloud, and Raymond Cloud; a special niece and caregiver, Adia Bitting; special sister/caregiver, Tammy (Phillip) Morris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Private funeral services will be held Monday, August 10, 2020. Interment will be held in Salisbury National Cemetery.
