Obituary
Nellie Thompson Hall departed this life on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Trinity Glen Nursing Home. Although we lost someone very special, we will find consolation in the memories we keep.
Nellie Thompson Hall was born February 22, 1917 in Anderson, South Carolina. She was the third child of Eunice and Walter Otis Thompson with 5 sisters and 1 brother, all who preceded her in death. The family moved to Winston-Salem, NC in the early 1920's where Nellie received her education in the public school system.
Nellie met and married Toby Hall, who preceded her in death. There were no children born to this union. She later moved to Washington, DC where she spent the most of her life.
In 2008 she moved back to Winston-Salem, NC where she resided until her death.
She leaves behind to treasure her memories several nieces and nephews; many great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 4pm Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jerri Perkins officiating.
