Obituary

Nathaniel Prophet Judge Williams, Sr., 87, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 17, 2016. He was a native of York, SC. He was a dedicated member of St. John C.M.E. Church and was formerly employed at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. He is a veteran of the Korean Conflict, where he earned several medals.

He met and married the love of his life, Dorothy Thompson Williams in 1955. Out of this union, there were five children.

Nathaniel was an awesome and faithful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his Lord and savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of his church where he served as a steward, custodian, and president of the Spiritual Choir. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his garden and singing spiritual songs about Jesus.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by his parents Hogan and Carrie Williams; his brothers, Finley Williams and Ulysses Williams; and sister, Willie May Davidson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy Thompson Williams; daughter, Donna Williams Bonner (Marvin); sons ,Rev. Nathaniel Prophet Judge Williams, Jr. (Rev. Wanda Williams), Dr. Barry Neil Williams (Dr. Halimena Creque), Donald Leon Williams (Rinita), and Herman Williams (Audrey); sister, Reber Davis (Rogers); grandchildren, Nathaniel Prophet Judge Williams, III (LaRhonda), Barry Neil Creque Williams (Channing), Brittany Williams Moser (Theo), Leah Williams Halstead (Stephen), Elisa Nicole Fulp, Esq. (Joseph), Donald Lee Williams, Janie Catherine Greenwood, and Taylor Williams; five great grandchildren; two nephews that were like sons, Tony Thompson (April) and Lydell Thompson; a special family friend, James Greenwood; dedicated caregiver, Rodrick Myers; and a host of nephews, nieces, extended children and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. John CME Church with Rev. Omar Dykes officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Church.
