Nathaniel Harris, Jr., "Dabby," went home to be with the Lord with a smile on his face on, September 5, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center after a brief period of illness. He was born July 17, 1959 to Elizabeth Ramseur Harris and Nathaniel Harris, Sr., in Statesville, NC. Mr. Harris attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and was previously employed at Merita Bakery along with his father for many years. "Dabby" loved his family very much and loved making everyone laugh; he also enjoyed listening to great music. He knew most of the names and artist of every song he heard. He was also a skilled artist.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Harris, Sr., and two brothers, Jeffrey Ramseur and Darryl Harris.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother and step-father, Elizabeth and Matthew Dodd; four sisters, Linda McDuffie, Sandra Ortiz, Harriett (Denise) Rose and Towanna Harris; three brothers, Tony Ramseur, Rodney and Scott Harris; three uncles, Doug and Austin Harris and Anthony Ramseur; three aunts, Geneva Harris, Christine, and Bessie Williams; three nephews, eight nieces, 16 great-nephews, 11 great-nieces, one great, great-nephew and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Restoration Christian Fellowship, 1931 Vargrave Street, Winston-Salem, NC with Pastors Halbert and V. Rochelle Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until 11:00 am Saturday at the church.
