Nasir D. Jackson, "King Nas", 13, was born to Ebony Patterson on December 18, 2003 in Winston-Salem, NC. God dispatched an angel on January 11, 2017.

Nasir lived in Winston-Salem his entire life and was educated at Quality Educational Academy "QEA". He was a graceful warrior who had a reputation of greatness. Nasir's favorite subjects in school were math and science. With his reserved nature, he loved to see his family together. No matter how he was feeling, he would tell everyone, "I got it", which lets us know the he never gave up. Fashion was something that Nasir was interested in. His humble spirit affected all. Nasir was receptive to everything, an angel on earth. Nasir possessed the character that most have to grow in order to have.

Nasir is survived by his devoted mother and stepfather, Ebony (Andrew Aiken) Patterson; two brothers that were a part of his support system, Demontau and Ahmad; grandparents, Teresa Patterson and Aakil Mahboob; great-grandparents, Carolyn Higgins and George Higgins; his uncles/father figures, Rodney "Big Roc" Brown and Rodney "Lil Roc" Brown, Jr.; uncles, Carlos Patterson and Rasheed McFadden; aunts, Deon Higgins, Shakeelah McFadden, Taniesha Henry, and Jazzrea McRea; a host of many loving and devoted aunts and uncles; numerous cousins, extended family members, and precious friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Gethsemane Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Cobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Church.
