Nancy Marie Cowan affectionately known as "Cookie", 60, was born October 27, 1958 in Winston-Salem, NC to Walter Cowan, Sr. and Grace Whitworth Cowan.

She departed this life October 16, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

She graduated from Parkland High School in 1989.

Nancy's favorite hobby was drawing and her greatest love on Earth was her son, Royace Alexander, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy leaves to cherish beautiful memories, her son Royace Alexander, Jr.; her brother, Walter Cowan; her sister, Deborah Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00noon Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:00noon on Tuesday at the Chapel.
