Ms. Nancy Lugretta Clark Cowan, 63, of 186 Twin Creeks Road, passed away on Saturday December 30, 2017 at her residence. Ms. Nancy Cowan, nicknamed "Pinky", was born June 30, 1954 in Surry County to George R. Clark and Mary P. Clark.

Nancy was retired from the W-S/Forsyth School System with 18 years of service. She was a caring, loving person who took care of her family. She was always the life of the party. When you were around her, you couldn't help but have a good time.  Nancy also enjoyed working in yard and garden.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by her two daughters, LTanya Gwyn of Winston Salem and Tara Cowan of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Brianna Smart, Kennedi Green, Jaylen Johnson, and Daniel Nelson; three sisters, Brenda Clark, Joyce Clark, and Vanessa Clark; two brothers, George Clark and Perry Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm Friday January 5, 2018 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church W-S, NC with Reverend Dr. Samuel J Cornelius officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.
