Mrs. Mozelle Margareta Caldwell, 82, of 2711 New Walkertown Road, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011. She was born March 31, 1929 to Vann and Sally Carpenter. She was a retired employee of Baptist Hospital. She joined Macedonia Worship Center at an early age. She was the youngest of 11 siblings and was raised by her oldest sister Gladys and John Cross who all preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her memory, her loving husband of 64 years, James Edward Caldwell Sr. of the home; her six children, James Caldwell, Charles Caldwell, her oldest daughter and caretaker: Shirley Caldwell, Jimmy Caldwell (Sheila), Vanessa Caldwell, and Dennis Caldwell (Jane); 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephew, Mary Elizabeth Bradley, Samelle Nesbit, Sarah Carpenter, and Robert Cross; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives, friends and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Monday, October 17, 2011 at Union Baptist Church with Dr. Sir Walter Mack, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Monday at the Church.
