Mrs. Mozella Toland Vinson, 79 passed away June 27, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born in Asheville, NC on November 7, 1930.
She attended Stephens Lee High School and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Asheville, NC. She also attended the Church of Christ on Carver School Road in Winston-Salem, NC. She worked many years as a private duty nurse.
She was a loving mother with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed travelling with her daughters and her love for music included jazz and the blues. She was a great fan of sports and enjoyed dancing.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Rhea (Thomas) Hunting Thompson of Greensboro, NC and Margo (Barry) Toland Harvey of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Mrs. Ernestine Hall (Thomas) and Mrs. Johnnie Mae Jackson both of Ohio; one granddaughter, Ashley R. Harvey of Winston-Salem, NC; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ann Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
