Obituary
Monte Ervin Burns, 57, was born August 31, 1956 in Rowan
County, NC and reared in Albemarle, NC to Mrs. Julia C. Burns and the late Mr. Willie Lee Burns. He departed this life at his home on March 17, 2014.
Monte retired from Johnson Controls after 22 years of service due to
illness.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three brothers,
Walter, John, and Jeffrey Burns.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia S. Burns; son, Eric; grandson, Erin; his mother, Julia C. Burns; sisters, Julia Martin, Linda Chambers,Cassandra, and Priscilla Burns; brothers, Thomas, Timothy, Carl (Roxie),and Myron (Patricia) Burns; sisters-in-law, Blondie Burns and Margaret Burns; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, March 22, 2014 at St.
Stephen Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor James E. Cook
officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.

Flowers are accepted, or in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the
KB Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane W-S, NC 27103.
