Molene B. Jones was born in Hartsfield, SC on December 6, 1927.  She was the second oldest of five children born to Mr. Henry Blakney and Nellie Kelly.  She departed from life on November 27, 2017 at her home.

Molene was born in Hartsfield, SC and moved to Winston-Salem, NC at the age of 6 where she attended Columbia Heights Elementary School and Atkins High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Jones; son, Steven Jones formerly of New York; and brothers, John Blakney formerly of Winston-Salem, NC and Francis Blakney of Spokane, WA.

Fond memories will be cherished by her two sons, Bryan Kelly Jones and Waymon Jones, Jr.; two daughters, Joslyn Denise Diop and Wanetta Ann Jones; one sister, Nellie Rose (Ralph) Horne of New York; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Piedmont Memorial Gardens with Bishop Todd Fulton officiating.
