Miriam G. Clemons was born on April 23, 1953 to Alfred and Rosa Johnson in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on Thursday, April 6, 2017. She was a graduate of Atkins High School Class of 1971 and a graduate of Winston-Salem State University class of 1975. She worked as legal assistant for many years. At an early age she accepted Christ and continued to serve the Lord. Miriam was one of a kind. She touched the lives of many with her smile, generosity, and maintained her trademark with a sense of humor. She will definitely be missed by many. She was a member of Bethlehem Holiness Church of God. She held many secretarial positions within the Holiness Church of God Inc. She was one of the choir directors of the HCOG Choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Rosa Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 34 years, Deacon Nathaniel T. Clemons, Jr.; 1 son, Elder Antwan R. Clemons (Shauna) of Greensboro, NC; 2 brothers, Walter Garris (Barbara) of Colorado Springs, CO and Sterling Garris of Philadelphia, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, April 14, 2017 at Kimberly Park Holiness Church with Overseer Eugene Kirby, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Friday at the Church.
