Mrs. Minnie Lee Stitt Smith, 80, was born November 1, 1938 in Winston-Salem, NC to Willie Stitt and Nora Anthony.  She departed this life on December 21, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

She attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, was employed many years at K&W Cafeteria, and was a former member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church. Minnie loved to cook, never met a stranger, and loved to fellowship with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Evester Smith, Sr.; and her daughter, Linda Faye Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories her 3 sons, Evester Smith, Jr., Olander Smith, Randy Lee (Debbie) Smith; grandchildren, April Causer, Ver'ne Causer, Melody Smith, Tyrone (Jessica) Hall, and Raheem Smith; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces, Ruby Bitting and Pamela Graham; nephews, Terry Lee Smith and Sylvester Bitting; brothers-in-law, Elester Smith, Sr. and John Willie Jones, Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00pm Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 2:30pm until 3:00pm on Friday at the Chapel.
