Mrs. Minnie Wilson Miller, 70, of 542 Edna Street, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Health.
She was born February 21, 1941 in W-S, NC, the daughter of Mrs. Corrine Campbell Wilson and Mr. Ulysses Wilson. She graduated from Atkins High School and was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant at Dorethea Dix Hospital. She was an active member and served as an Evangelist for the Bright Hope Holiness Church of God, Inc. in Raleigh, NC under the leadership of Pastor Verna L. Peterkin. She also attended local churches in W-S, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Ulysses Wilson, Jr., Willie Perry Wilson, Earl Wilson, Eugene Wilson, and Odell Wilson; and one sister, Virginia Wilson.
Surviving are her three devoted daughters, Kasandra Miller, Conita Miller, and Dorlene Dervin; five grandchildren, Roshanda and Koyatitto Miller; Keyanna (Clevon) Clayton, Monica and Monta O'Neal; eight great-grandchildren; her former husband, Thomas Miller; one brother, Neal (Deshanda) Wilson; two favorite nieces, Phyllis Wilson and Jewell Doughty; two favorite nephews, Terry Carson and Neal Doughty; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, November 25, 2011 at Macedonia Holiness Church of God of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. 4111 Whitfield Dr. W-S, NC with Dr. Robert L. Wise, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Friday at the Church.
