Ms. Minnie Mae Davis Jones, 72, of 2321 North Patterson Avenue was born June 14, 1940 to the late James Davis and Martha T. Davis. Ms. Jones passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.

She attended the local schools, graduating from Atkins High School in 1961. Ms. Jones was employed as a health care provider. Ms. Minnie Jones served faithfully on the Ministry for Christ choir, missionary circle, also president of the Mother's Board, became Honorary Mother of Ministry for Christ Mother's Board January 2012 until January 2013 under the leadership of Bishop Andrea Nash.

She was preceded in passing by her twin sister Rumae Lomax.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving niece, Genie Lomax of the home; two nephews, Robert Leon Lomax Jr. (Koren) and Kenny Kirkpatrick both of the city; two brothers, Mr. George Davis of the city and William Franklin Chanault of Richmond, KY; great-nephew, Justin Sherril; and several cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Ministry for Christ with Bishop Andrea Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
