Milton Jones, Jr., son of the late Milton, Sr. and Ethel Preston Jones was born on April 9, 1931 in Fort Myers, GA. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2016.

Milton attended school in Fort Myers, GA until the family moved to New Brunswick, NJ. Milton married Mary Payne in 1956 and settled in Newark, NJ and later relocated to Philadelphia, PA.

Milton worked for GM while in Newark, NJ and was a foreman for McCluster Construction in Philadelphia, PA. In his spare time he did odd jobs for individuals on both homes and cars.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Payne Jones; brother, Sammy Lee Jones; sister, Shirlene Jones Montey; and his son-in-law, John Spruill.

Milton leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Carmen Jones Spruill, Marcia (Reginald) Walton-Chappell of Chase, MD, and Sheryl (Calvin) Adams; one son, Roderick Jones; grandchildren, Chavora Jones, Dequan (Charie) Jones, Reginald Jones, Steven (Erica) Lowery, Scherrie Lowery, Lakesha (Anthony) Brunson, Raheem Lathan of Philadelphia, PA, and Olivia Montey; 12 great-grandchildren including the new apple of his eye, Rian Wolford; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline (Willie) Brooks, Sophia (Thomas) Payne-Drake, Katrina Payne, and Ida Duncan; brother-in-law, Karl (Bobbietta) Payne; two aunts, Maggie (Richard) Horsey of Syracuse, NY and Cleyon Lee of Vineland, NJ; devoted cousin, Joanne Horsey Bryant of Elmira, NY; devoted niece, Debra Mack; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Shiloh Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
