Sister Millie Ann Cain West entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Sister West was born on Monday, March 21, 1932, to Carl C. and Sarah P. Cain.
She was a member of Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Mocksville, NC.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents; brother, Clifton Cain; sister, Evola Ellison; granddaughter, Katina West; and nephew, Brandon Cain.
She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy her devoted husband, Hubert A. West, Sr.; four children, William (Barbara) West, Sr. of Ellenwood, GA, Hubert (Beverly) West, Jr. of Chapel Hill, NC, Dennis (Dawn) West of Clemmons, NC, and Jerry West of Cary, NC; six grandchildren, William (Nicole) West, Jr. of Arlington, TN, Natasha (Khari) Thompson of Winston-Salem, NC, Brenton West of Charlotte, NC, Darlene West of Cumberland Gap, TN, Aaron West of Upper Montclair, NJ, and DeWayne West of Charlotte, NC; five great-grandchildren, Alex and Hailey West of Arlington, TN, Khari, Jr., Aarron, and Marya Thompson of Winston-Salem, NC; six siblings, Garfield Cain of Brooklyn, NY, Lillie Mae Scott of Mocksville, NC, Roland Cain of Winston-Salem, NC, Hilda Smith of Mocksville, NC, Wilbur (Amelia) Cain of Traphill, NC, and Faye (Richard) Carter of Mocksville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, November 4, 2012, at Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 711 Cedar Creek Road, Mocksville, NC with Rev. Coker Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Sunday at the Church.
