Mrs. Mildred Adams McCall, 89, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2015. She was born in Ellaville, GA on December 31, 1925 to Robert and Sammie Adams. She grew up and attended public schools in Georgia. Mrs. McCall later attended Business School in Tennessee. While living in Winston-Salem she worked for the historic Old Salem Museum. Mrs. McCall was a faithful member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church where she served as President of the Senior Usher Board until her decline in health. She was also very active in the Northeast Community Club where she served as Vice President for a number of years. As a result of failing health, Mrs. McCall later moved to Atlanta, GA to be cared for by her daughter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Oscar J. McCall, Jr.; and a son, Oscar Wayne McCall.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn of Atlanta, GA; son, Robert (Kathy) of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Robert McCall, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, Tawanda Servick of Hiram, GA, Sheri McCluney of W-S, NC, and Shara McCall of Norfolk, VA; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Sammy Adams of Chicago, IL and Merritt Adams of Long Beach, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Mars Hill Baptist Church, 1331 E. Fourth Street with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Church.
