Reverend Mildred Wesley Davis, 71, of 1340 Underwood Ave. went home to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on August 2, 1944 in Norwood, NC to the late James & Julia Mae Wilkins Wesley where she attended the Stanley County Public Schools until the age of 14 when she relocated to Winston-Salem where she then attended the Forsyth County Public Schools.

Rev. Davis was a member and associate minister of Piney Grove Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, NC.

She leaves on this side to cherish her memories 4 children, Sherry McDermott, Carolyn "Cookie" (Glen) Searcy, Zelphia "Angel"(Anthony) McCoy, and Amos Davis, Jr.; her husband, Amos Davis, Sr.; brother, Rev. Lorenzo (Gloria) Wesley; sister, Patricia Nevels; 2 step-sisters, Aretha Rosemond and Doris Jones; 2 step-brothers, Glendale (Kathy) Jennings and Alvin (Phyllis ) Jennings; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 12:30pm on Wednesday at the Church.
