Obituary

Mikki Allen Hill, affectionately known to family and friends as 'Hillyosis', graced this earth on Saturday, August 21, 1982 at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The absolute PRIDE & JOY of his mother's life, Mikki was adored by his cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, fraternity brothers and extended family. Mikki was a lover of dancing, acting/drama, African American history, social gatherings, and spoken word narratives. Mikki was a joyous and comedic entertainer and 'the Life of Every Party'. Family members and friends will forever cherish Mikki's love of music including, but not limited to Erykah Badu, Chuck Brown, Lauren Hill and yes, Travis Scott, just to name a few.

Upon graduation from Mount Tabor High School, Winston-Salem, NC, Mikki enrolled at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU). Mikki graduated from his beloved Alma Mater, earning dual B.S. degrees in Accounting and Information Technology with high honors in 2005. While matriculating at WSSU, Mikki pledged and 'Crossed the Burning Sands' entering the Brotherhood of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Beta Iota Chapter. Mikki often utilized his genius, craftsmanship and decorative skills in service to family, friends and his fraternity. Mikki served in several professional capacities and human services in Tennessee and Winston-Salem, NC.

Left to cherish Mikki's memory and joyous spirit are his mother, Alice Faye Bitting of Winston-Salem, NC; father, Reginald Hill of Clarksville, TN; Mikki will also be dearly missed by very special cousins, Jacques Bitting, Sr., William 'Bam' Bitting, Nathaniel A. 'Ghee' Bitting, Shea Bitting, Jamesa Bitting, Joii Butler, Christopher Bitting, Eric Bitting, Kendra B. Staples, Quinten Banner, Nateja Hale, & Paul L. Bitting; other very special relatives and friends also loved Mikki and will forever cherish the many fun times spent sharing stories, parties and fun.

Memorial services will be held at 12:30pm Monday, November 20, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 12:30pm on Monday at the Chapel. The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Omega Omega service will be held at 11:30am on Monday at the Chapel.
