Michelle Dover Richardson was born on September 1, 1947 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She graduated from Atkins High School in 1966. Michelle was employed by R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, and Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Ernest Dover; brother, Ernest Dover; and a sister, Barbara Dover.

Michelle's spirit of hospitality was astounding. She was known for preparing and distributing her delicious meals. She reveled in preparing food and seeing others enjoy her beautiful food creations. She had a heart of gold. Michelle was quick to forgive offenses and was a lover of peace and tranquility.

She leaves to cherish very fond memories: her loving husband of 17 years, Melvin Richardson; three daughters, Tabitha McKinney, Topitha Hinson, and Teresa Wagner; two bonus children, Melvin A. Richardson and Cindy Jackman (Valentine); two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Pelzer (Curtis) and Shirley Smith (Samuel); a brother, Kirk Dover; five grandchildren, Natausha Hinson, Jasmine Hinson, Terell McKinney, Kintrel Hinson, and Kyler Wagner; as well as three bonus grandchildren, Shaun, Shane, and Shyanne.

Additionally, she leaves four great-grandchildren; a loving and devoted special niece, Michelle Dover; special lifelong friends; and a host of other friends and relatives.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:00am on Friday at the Chapel.
