Obituary

Micheal Anthony Parker, Sr. was born February 2, 1972 to Caroline Parker and Kervin Frazier in Greensboro, NC.  He was the first grandchild on his mother's side and beloved nephew to Lois and Jim Bob White. He departed this earthly life on March 6, 2022.

Micheal moved to Winston-Salem, NC with his mother at the age of 3.  He attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and played high school football.  At the age of 17, he obtained his GED and joined the Navy.  In 1989, he received recognition from the military for being the youngest person active in the military forces at that time.  He traveled the United States and around the world.

Over the years he lived in Hawaii, Texas, Florida, and landed in Tega Cay, SC.

Micheal was a natural born leader with the heart of a lion, much like Kobe Bryant (his absolute favorite athlete of all time.)  He would help anyone in need and was respectful to everyone. He carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.  His faith in his higher power was very strong, as if he had a direct connection to God.

When Micheal was young, he was one of the first of his friends to brave the high dive at Bolton Pool.  He prided himself in being bale to sit at the bottom of the Happy Hill Garden Pool and pick all his friends off in the game of shark.  He won ping-pong championships at Hanes Mall back in the 80's.  He decided to give up his career as a professional boxer after challenging an actual pro boxer to a fight.  After getting punched in the eye, he promised himself that he would never let anyone hit him in the face again, and they never did-he always struck first and usually took some teeth, thus earning him his title of "The Dentist."  A title his beloved cousin April still calls him to this day.

Micheal was brilliant, a borderline genius.  He was in gifted/honors classes early in school.  As he got older, school bored him.  He could do math in his head so quick, it would blow your mind.

Mike was an extremist. It was all or nothing , up or down-no in between.  He could take dirt and turn it into gold.  Money and earthly possessions meant nothing to him.  Life to him was all about loyalty, respect, and staying true to the person that he was, no matter the situation.

He was preceded in death by his beloved paternal grandparents, Lucy Frazier and Luther Frazier; and his maternal grandparents, Floyd Parker and Dollina Richmond Parker.

He leaves to celebrate his life his wife, Jill Parker of the home; his loving children, Micheal Parker, Jr. and Marques Parker of Winston-Salem, NC, Tatiana Brodie of Chapel Hill, NC, Keyanna Mills of High Point, NC, and Logan Parker of the home; four grandchildren, Mi'kaya, Nivea, Kamani, and Tristan; his mother, Caroline (Lacy) Parker-Knox of Winston-Salem, NC; father, Kervin (Lisa) Frazier of Greensboro, NC; brother, Isaac (Debra) Knox of Kernersville, NC; sisters, Catherine Frazier of Fayetteville, NC and Aaliyah Frazier of Greensboro, NC; a special devoted friend, Gerald Atwater; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday, March 14, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
