Mr. Michael Terry Woods made a peaceful transition to Glory on November 2, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1955 to Mary Frances Woods and Earl Neal of Winston-Salem, NC.



Mr. Woods was educated in the Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools and a Class of 1974 graduate of R. J. Reynolds High School. Upon graduation, Mr. Woods enlisted briefly in the United States Marine Corp. After leaving the Marines, he was gainfully employed at R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.



Remaining to honor Mr. Michael Terry Woods memory are his parents, Mary Frances Woods and Earl Neal of W-S, NC; four children, Japreis Glenn Evans of High Point, NC, Demetrius "Lamont" Burns, Asteria "Nan" Burns and Michael Terry Woods, Jr. all of W-S, NC; Mr. Woods was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Michael has one devoted cousin, Mickia Byrd; as well as, a host of other relatives, cousins and friends all of the city.



An Inspirational Homegoing Celebration will be held at 12 Noon Friday, November 8, 2013 in the Chapel of Russell Funeral Home, 822 Carl Russell Avenue, W-S, NC 27101 with Rev. Dr. Sir Walter Lee Mack, Jr. officiating. The family visitation will precede the homegoing celebration from 11:30 am until 12:00 pm.

The family extends special thanks to the staff of the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Union Baptist Church, Russell Funeral Home, Inc., Clergy, program participants, family, friends and many people far and near for your prayers and acts of kindness.
