Michael Calvin Walls was born March 5, 1969 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late Albertha Walls and Roscoe Boyd.  Peacefully, he departed this earthly life on March 23, 2020.

Michael graduated from Reynolds High School in 1987.  He then entered the US Army where he proudly served our country.  After hanging his boots up to return to the civilian life, he found a passion for cooking and the knowledge of how to use the stove for more than a storage for dishes.

Those  who frequented his presence during the NFL season witnessed how much of a fanatic he was of the Tennessee Titans.  He was also a devoted watcher of WWE.

Michael was the father of Christopher Young and Aneesha Walls; the grandfather to Alaura Young and Khari Young; the brother to Robert Walls, Claudine Walls, Roslyn (Irvin) Payne, Shameka Poole, and Roscoe Boyd, Jr.; the uncle to Robert (Cindy) Cook, Cortez Walls, Terrez Walls, Shameka (Pastor Curtis) Friday, and Naya Poole; the great-uncle to Naya Cook and Cameron Walls; along with a host of other loved ones and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held Monday, March 30, 2020 in Salisbury National Cemetery.
